Welcome to New Motors Volkswagen! We're a family-owned dealership with deep roots in Northwest Pennsylvania, and a lot of the folks you'll meet here grew up right here in Erie. Whether you're shopping for your first Volkswagen or just stopping in for an oil change, we'll take good care of you, the same way we'd look after our own family.
Our Story: Nearly a Century of Keeping Erie Moving
New Motors began in 1927 as a small gas and service station in Hartstown, PA, run by Vincent New. His sons, Larry and Gary, grew up working in their father's garage, where they learned that hard work and honest service earn a customer for life. That lesson still guides everything we do today.
| Year | Milestone |
|---|---|
| 1927 | Vincent New opens a gas and service station in Hartstown, PA |
| Early 1960s | Sons Larry and Gary New join the family business |
| 1963 | New Motors becomes a Volvo dealer |
| 1971 | The dealership moves to Erie, opening on 3 acres of land |
| Today | An 80-acre campus home to Volkswagen, Subaru and BMW, plus a full pre-owned department |
Our Promise to You
Larry and Gary New wrote the mission statement that every member of our team still lives by:
"To ensure that you remain our customer for life, we are committed to exceed your expectations. Period!"In practice, that means straight answers, no-pressure conversations and a team that remembers your name. We'd rather earn your trust over many years than make a quick sale.
